Dr. Deborah Pettigrew

Dr. Deborah Pettigrew exemplifies the characteristics of a virtuous woman. She serves as a model for how God-fearing and elegant women should present themselves, offering inspiration to women across generations.

She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Prior to joining the ministry,  she served in various offices including Sunday School superintendent and teacher, Deaconess, and ultimately, an ordained minister. In this capacity, she administered the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, presided over the Children’s Choir, led the Children’s Church, and organized church outings for the Children and Youth ministry. Dr. Pettigrew initiated a Street Ministry and provided essential counseling for those being ordained, as well as for weddings and funerals.She has served as a full-time Dean and teacher for over twenty–five years at the Bible Institute of Gethsemane Baptist Church of Deliverance, playing an instrumental role in securing accreditation for their Bible school.

In 2009, after being led by the Lord, she transferred her membership to America Come Back to God Evangelistic Church, where she began her journey as a Bible scholar in 1988 and has been an instructor at the America Come Back to God Bible Institute for approximately thirty years. Since 2020, Dr. Pettigrew has assumed the role of Dean at the Bible Institute, collaborating closely with the Pastor and working alongside ministers, evangelists, teachers, and missionaries. As the Assistant Pastor, she oversees the usher board, tract team, and ministries focused on serving the sick and engaging in community outreach. As a mother of two, grandmother of three, great-grandmother of two, and spiritual mother to many, Dr. Pettigrew has cultivated a life dedicated to holiness and the teaching of the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Dr. Pettigrew's academic background in biblical studies includes: a B.A. in Biblical Studies with a Concentration in Theology, M.R.E. in Biblical Studies with a Concentration in Religious Education and a Doctor of Philosophy in Divinity.
